In plain language
What this service covers
Express Entry is the online system IRCC uses to manage applications for the Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program and Federal Skilled Trades Program. A profile is not a permanent-residence application, and entering the pool does not guarantee an invitation.

Professional review
Where careful preparation matters
A consultation is used to understand the facts, identify the right process and confirm whether UW can accept the matter. It is not a guarantee of eligibility or outcome.
Program eligibility
Express Entry programs have different minimum requirements; a ranking score is not a substitute for meeting a program’s rules.
Accurate profile claims
Language, education, work history, job offers, family details and provincial nominations must be supported when points are claimed.
Invitation and filing period
After an invitation, supporting documents and complete personal history must be prepared within the deadline shown by IRCC.

Common questions
Answers before you request a consultation
Does creating an Express Entry profile mean I applied for permanent residence?
No. A profile enters eligible candidates into the pool. A permanent-residence application can generally be submitted only after receiving an invitation to apply.
Does a high CRS score guarantee an invitation?
No. Invitation rounds, categories and cut-offs change. Candidates must also continue to meet program and profile requirements.
Which programs are managed through Express Entry?
IRCC uses Express Entry for the Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program and Federal Skilled Trades Program. Some provincial nominations also connect to Express Entry.
Can UW promise permanent residence?
No. UW can advise and represent within an agreed scope, but invitations and final decisions are made by Canadian authorities.
