Quick answer: From November 3, 2026, your CRS score adds up core factors (age, education, languages), a new Labour Market Integration factor (up to 150 points for Canadian work experience, including up to 70 for high-wage occupations, or up to 100 for a job offer, whichever is higher), spouse factors, skill transferability (up to 100) and additional points (up to 600). This calculator is an estimate only; IRCC calculates your official score.

What changes in the CRS on November 3, 2026?

IRCC is adding a Labour Market Integration factor. You get points for either your Canadian work experience or a qualifying job offer, whichever gives you more. Read our full guide: Express Entry changes on November 3, 2026.

How this calculator works

  • Core factors: age, education and official languages use IRCC’s CRS criteria tables.
  • Labour Market Integration factor: work-length points (35 to 80) plus high-wage points (20, 40 or 70) are compared with job offer points (50, 70 or 100); the higher one counts.
  • Skill transferability: unchanged by the new rules and still uses your total Canadian work experience, not high-wage points. Maximum 100.
  • Additional points: provincial nomination (600), French skills (25 or 50), Canadian education (15 or 30), sibling in Canada (15). Maximum 600. Job offers no longer count here.
  • Test scores: converted to CLB/NCLC levels with IRCC’s equivalency charts for CELPIP-General, IELTS General Training, PTE Core, TEF Canada and TCF Canada.

What IRCC has not said yet: whether the core maximum (460/500) or the overall maximum changes with the new factor. This calculator adds each part as published. If IRCC publishes more detail, we will update the calculator and the “last reviewed” date.

How to increase your CRS score

Under the November 3, 2026 rules, the main ways to add points are the ones IRCC publishes in its criteria. Which ones are realistic depends on your profile.

  • Language: first official language points rise at each CLB level up to CLB 10 (up to 34 per ability if single). Reaching CLB 9 on all four abilities also unlocks the higher skill transferability points.
  • Canadian work experience: each extra year adds work-length points up to 5 years, and 12+ months in a high-wage occupation adds 20, 40 or 70 more.
  • A qualifying job offer: from November 3, 2026, a valid offer in a high-wage occupation is worth 50, 70 or 100 points, with no LMIA needed. It only counts if it is higher than your work experience points.
  • French: NCLC 7 or higher on all four French abilities adds 25 or 50 points.
  • Provincial nomination: adds 600 points. In BC this is through the BC Provincial Nominee Program.
  • Education: an extra credential, or an Educational Credential Assessment for education you already have, can add points.

Frequently asked questions

Is this my official CRS score?

No. It is an estimate based on the information you enter. IRCC calculates your official score in your Express Entry profile, and an officer checks your documents when you apply.

Can I get points for both Canadian work experience and a job offer?

No. Under the new factor, IRCC compares the two and gives you the higher one.

Is my job high-wage because my salary is high?

Not necessarily. IRCC uses the median wage of everyone in Canada in your NOC group, not your own salary. Search your NOC code in the calculator.

Do I still need an LMIA for a job offer?

Not from November 3, 2026. IRCC says its online system will still ask you to select that you have an LMIA for now, and explains what to enter on its changes page.

What CRS score do I need for an invitation?

There is no fixed score. Cut-offs change with every draw and with category-based rounds. Check IRCC’s rounds of invitations page. Draws are paused for up to two weeks after November 3 while profiles are recalculated.

Can you help me in Punjabi or Hindi?

Yes. Consultations are available in English, Punjabi (ਪੰਜਾਬੀ) and Hindi (हिंदी).
