What this service covers
A visitor visa (temporary resident visa) is generally used by travellers from visa-required countries. A Super Visa is a separate option for eligible parents and grandparents that can allow longer visits. The correct route and supporting evidence depend on the traveller, the host and current IRCC requirements.

Where careful preparation matters

Purpose and ties
The application should tell a coherent, evidence-supported story about the visit, finances and reasons to leave Canada when required.
Host and traveller evidence
A professional review can identify gaps or inconsistencies between the traveller’s documents and the host’s information.

Insurance, medical, relationship and financial-support requirements change and should be checked against the current official instructions.

Common questions
Answers before you request a consultation
Is a visitor visa the same as a Super Visa?
No. A visitor visa is used for temporary travel by people who require a visa. A Super Visa is designed for eligible parents and grandparents and has additional host, insurance and medical requirements.
Does a visitor visa guarantee entry to Canada?
No. A visa allows a person to travel to a Canadian port of entry, but the final decision to admit a traveller and the authorized period of stay are made by border authorities.
How long can a Super Visa holder stay?
IRCC currently describes the Super Visa as allowing eligible parents and grandparents to visit for up to five years at a time, subject to the documents issued and the decision at entry. Always confirm current rules before travel.
Can UW guarantee approval after a refusal?
No. UW can review the decision, the evidence and possible next steps, but no representative can guarantee an approval or a particular processing time.
